Trump on Kim Jong-un: 'We fell in love'

Sept. 30, 2018 12:29 P.M. (Updated: Oct. 3, 2018 1:24 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The United States President Donald Trump said on Saturday that there was once tough talk "back and forth" between him and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un "and then we fell in love."

During Trump’s speech at a campaign rally in West Virginia, he said that "He (Kim) wrote me beautiful letters. They were great letters. We fell in love."

Trump also joked about the criticism he would receive from the news media for making such a comment and for being so positive about the North Korean leader.

Trump and Kim met in Singapore this year as part of an attempt to push the North Korean regime to denuclearize after back and forth threats and insults, which included Trump insulting Kim as “little rocket man.”
