Israeli bulldozers raze lands in southern Gaza

Oct. 2, 2018 11:59 A.M. (Updated: Oct. 2, 2018 4:16 P.M.)
GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli military vehicles entered dozens of meters into the southern besieged Gaza Strip border, on Tuesday.

Locals told Ma'an that four Israeli bulldozers entered dozens of meters into eastern Rafah City, coming from an Israeli military post along the Israeli-imposed security fence.

Israeli bulldozers and razed and leveled lands in various areas alongside the eastern borders as drones flew over head.

Israeli military incursions inside the besieged Gaza Strip and near the "buffer zone," which lies on both land and sea sides of Gaza, have long been a near-daily occurrence.

Such activity often interferes with Palestinian farmers whose land lies in the area. Approximately 35 percent of Palestinian agricultural land in Gaza is inaccessible without high personal risk, according to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights.
