Israel seals off entrance to East Jerusalem neighborhood

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces sealed off the entrance to the Palestinian neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukabbir, in occupied East Jerusalem, with cement blocks, on Monday.

Local eyewitnesses said that Israeli forces stationed themselves at the main entrance to Jabal al-Mukabbir, while Israeli bulldozers sealed off the neighborhood with cement blocks, without any prior notices to residents of the neighborhood.

Jabal al-Mukabbir residents denounced closure of the main entrance of their neighborhood, as it prevented them from moving freely and caused traffic jam inside the neighborhood.

Reason for the seal off remained unknown.
