Israeli forces detain 8 Palestinians, including child, in West Bank

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 8 Palestinians, including a child and former prisoners, across the occupied West Bank on predawn Tuesday.

Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) confirmed that Israeli forces two Palestinians, they were identified as former prisoner Mamdouh Ibrahim Abu Rabie and Tamer Sami al-Badawi, 14.

In the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, one Palestinian was detained and identified as former prisoner Mahmoud Abed al-Latif.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, two Palestinians were detained; they were identified as Usama Ahmad Salatneh and Samir Ibrahim Fashafsheh.

In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian, PPS identified him as Muhammad Rasem Ahmad.

In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, two Palestinians were detained; they were identified as Abed al-Rahman Mazen Abdo, 20, and Youssef Maher Jaber, 21.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,781 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, of whom 65 are female prisoners and 270 are child prisoners, 50 under the age of 16 years.
