Israeli forces detain 6 Palestinians across West Bank

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least six Palestinians during predawn raids, on Sunday, across the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained one Palestinian in the southern West Bank district of Hebron. He was identified as Ahmad Arfat Ghaith.

In the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, three Palestinians were detained. PPS identified them as Amir al-Shaludi, Anas Darwish, and Yousef Mustafa.

In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Muhammad Adnan Tubal.

In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian, who was identified as Nasser Deib Odeh.

In addition, in the same district, another two Palestinians were detained, however, were later released. PPS identified them as Nidal Salim and Abdullah al-Rabi.

PPS added that during the raids, Israeli forces assaulted Palestinian residents, searched homes, and damaged personal belongings.

Israeli search and detention raids are a nightly occurrence in Palestinian cities, towns, and refugee camps across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,640 Palestinian prisoners currently being held in Israeli prisons.
