Minors among 14 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 14 Palestinians, including minors and a woman, on predawn Tuesday, during raids in the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) confirmed that Israeli forces detained one Palestinian in the southern West Bank district of Hebron, he was identified as Muhammad Khalid Sabarneh.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, three Palestinians were detained. Among them was the wife and brother of Palestinian prisoner, Abdullah Ubayyat, PPS identified them as Islam Awayda, 25, the wife of Ubayyat, and his brother Hussein, 17, and Mahmoud Salah Hamash, 17.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, four Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces; they were identified as Fawzi Maher Mousa Zahran, 19, Faraj Abed al-Qader al-Barghouthi, 22, Mustafa Riad Taha, 17, and Luay Ali al-Naasan.

In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, three Palestinians were detained, PPS identified them as Sajed Jabril, 14, Ahmad Salah al-Qaddumi, 15, and his brother Izz al-Din al-Qaddumi, 18.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, Israeli forces detained three Palestinians; they were identified as Ahmad Nazzal, Said al-Natour, Baraa Abu Naaseh.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,640 Palestinian prisoners currently being held in Israeli prisons, of whom 53 are female prisoners, 270 are child prisoners and 50 are under the age of 16.
