3 minors among 21 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 21 Palestinians, including minors, during raids on predawn Monday across the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained four Palestinians, including one minor, in the southern West Bank district of Hebron; they were identified as Thaer Younis Ahmad Rajbi, 15, Abed al-Halim Ibrahim Qafisha, Nour Ibrahim Qafisha and Islam Abed al-Halim Hawashiye.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, five Palestinians were detained, including two minors; PPS identified the minors as Aseel, 14, and Nisreen Abu Aker, 15, the daughters of Palestinian administrative prisoner, Bassam Abu Aker, who spent a total of 20 years in administrative detention.

PPS identified the other three detainees as Luay Habes al-Amour, Yahiya Ibrahim al-Shaer and Bassel Youssef Hana Handal.

In the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, four Palestinians were detained; they were identified as Basel Zayed, Muhammad Zacharia Shiha, Shadi al-Qawasmi, and Mahmoud al-Qawasmi.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, five Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces, PPS identified them as Amir Abed al-Kheir, Abdullah Hamdan, Salah al-Makan, Hamed Muin al-Rimawi and Abed al-Latif Abed al-Rimawi.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, three Palestinians were detained and identified as Muhammad Abu Tabikh, Diaa Abu Jilda and Murad Hajj Ibrahim.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,640 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
