Palestinians injured as Israeli forces storm East Jerusalem

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Large numbers of Israeli forces stormed the headquarters of the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs and the Jerusalem governorate, on Sunday, and attacked Palestinian staff members in occupied East Jerusalem.

According to medical sources, Israeli forces stormed the headquarters of the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs and the Jerusalem governorate in the al-Dahiya neighborhood, in East Jerusalem, attacking staff members present inside both buildings.

Sources confirmed that Israeli forces repeatedly fired tear-gas bombs into the offices and physically attacked the staff, causing five Palestinians to suffer from tear-gas inhalation and various bruises.

Sources added that ambulances, belonging to the Palestinian Civil Defense and the Palestinian Red Crescent, transferred the injured to a nearby hospital.

The injured were reported to be in mild to moderate condition.

The reason behind the two raids remained unknown.
