Israeli court rules to release Head of Erez crossing

Nov. 6, 2018 2:09 P.M. (Updated: Nov. 11, 2018 9:46 A.M.)
GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- The Israeli magistrate court of al-Majdal ruled for the release of Nasser al-Kilani, 50, Head of the Erez crossing (Beit Hanoun) at the Palestinian Ministry of Civil Affairs, on Monday.

In October, Israeli forces detained al-Kilani while he was at the Erez crossing, between Israel and the northern besieged Gaza Strip, heading to the occupied West Bank.

The reason for his detention remained unknown.

Palestinians detained at Erez are often interrogated for several hours, sometimes for days, before they are either allowed into Israel en route to the West Bank or sent back to Gaza.
