Israeli forces, settlers assault Palestinian students, principal in Hebron City

Nov. 8, 2018 4:36 P.M. (Updated: Nov. 9, 2018 11:08 A.M.)
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces, escorting a group of Israeli settlers assaulted dozens of Palestinian school students, on Thursday, and a principal at the Qurtuba School near al-Shuhada Street in Hebron City, in southern occupied West Bank.

Local sources reported that Israeli forces stormed the al-Shuhada Street, verbally and physically assaulted the principal of Qurtuba School as she attempted to protect students from violent assaults imposed by Israeli forces and settlers.

Hebron's city center is home to some 800 notoriously aggressive Israeli settlers, who live under the protection of thousands of Israeli forces, surrounded by more than 30,000 Palestinians.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education released its annual report for 2017 documenting the Israeli government's violations against Palestinian education, saying that 80,279 Palestinian children and 4,929 teachers and staff were "attacked" by Israeli settlers or soldiers.
