
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least four Palestinians from the southern occupied West Bank district of Bethlehem on predawn Sunday.
According to Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained four Palestinians.
Two Palestinians were detained from the Aida refugee camp and identified as Amer Azyeh and Izz al-Din Muafeq Badawna.
PPS identified the remaining two Palestinians as Salim Samih Sabah, 16, detained from the Tuqu village, and Awni Ahmad Taqatqa, 14, from the Beit Fajjar village.
Israeli search and detention raids are a nightly occurrence in Palestinian cities, towns, and refugee camps across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,640 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, of whom 270 are child prisoners and 50 are under the age of 16 years.
