Nov. 12, 2018 3:18 P.M. (Updated: Nov. 14, 2018 11:43 A.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Palestinian Authority (PA) signed, on Monday, an agreement with France in which the latter would provide 8 million Euros to support the Palestinian budget.

The Palestinian Ministry of Finance said in a press statement that its Minister, Shukri Bishara, had signed the agreement with French Consul General Pierre Cochard.

The financial support is the second installment of 16 million Euros that France has pledged to support the Palestinian budget this year with.

Bishara thanked France for its support of the Palestinian government, which he said goes for supporting many important and vital sectors such as water, energy and the private sector, which receives soft loans and grants to help develop private companies and education.

Cochard stressed that France is going to continue to support the Palestinian budget and other sectors in order to help develop the Palestinian economy.
