RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Czech Republic's Foreign Minister, Tomas Petricek, announced earlier that the Czech Republic will contribute 220,000 Euros to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

During Petricek's visit to the central occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, he had confirmed to the Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyad al-Malki, that his government will donate 220,000 Euros to UNRWA in support of providing vital services to Palestinian refugees.

Petricek also posted a tweet on his Twitter account, saying, “With FM al-Malki, we have discussed the possibilities to expand our bilateral economic relations and promote business growth in order to contribute to the sustainable economic development of Palestinian Territories.”

Petricek added, “In the last few years, the Czech Republic has been active in the Palestinian energy sector. We intend to continue working in this field and to see more of Palestinian schools and hospitals with solar energy.”
