BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- An Israeli settler suffered injuries after a Palestinian allegedly carried out a stabbing attack, on Tuesday, near the illegal Israeli settlement of Gilo, built on the Palestinian lands of the town of Beit Jala, adjacent to Bethlehem City in the southern occupied West Bank.

According to Hebrew-language news outlets, a 35-year-old Israeli settler was injured after a Palestinian allegedly stabbed him in the face.

The Israeli settler was immediately transferred to a hospital to receive necessary medical treatment.

Sources reported that the Israeli settler’s injuries were described as minor.

Israeli forces sealed off the entrance to Beit Jala, also known as the DCO checkpoint, and are conducting wide-scale searches for the Palestinian attack suspect, who fled the scene following the stabbing attack.
