Israeli authorities extend detention of Jerusalem governor

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities decided, on Sunday, to extend the detention of the Palestinian Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, who was detained earlier on Sunday from his home in the Silwan neighborhood, in occupied East Jerusalem.

According to Ghaith’s lawyers, Israeli authorities extended his detention until Thursday 29th of November under the pretext of continuing investigation.

The reason for Ghaith’s detention remained unknown.
