JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities decided, on Sunday, to release the Palestinian Governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, and nine Fatah movement activists under strict conditions.

Israeli authorities released Ghaith along with nine Fatah activists under strict conditions, which include being banned from entry to the occupied West Bank for two consecutive weeks and to pay a financial bail.

The nine Fatah activists were identified as Alaa Abu al-Hawa, Amer Awwad, Fadi Mahmoud, Hussam Abu Isnineh, Khalil Bashir, Muhammad al-Qaq, Ahmad Mustafa, Iyad Hadra, and Hatem Mahlus.

Earlier this week, Israeli forces detained Ghaith and dozens of Fatah activists in occupied East Jerusalem.
