Violent clashes erupt as Israeli forces raid Beit Ummar

HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Palestinians suffered from tear-gas inhalation as Israeli forces raided Beit Ummar town, on Tuesday evening, in the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron.

According to a local activist, Muhammad Iyad Awad, during the raid, Israeli forces stopped Palestinian vehicles and searched them, in addition dozens of shops were forced to close.

A large number of Israeli forces also raided and went up the rooftop of Badran Awad’s house.

Due to the raid, clashes broke out among Palestinian youths and Israeli forces, who fired tear-gas bombs and stun grenades, leading to a number of suffocation cases.

Palestinian medical crews arrived to the scene and provided first aid to the youths.
