Israeli airstrike targets Hamas site after missile hits Israel

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A missile was fired from the besieged Gaza Strip towards southern Israel, late Friday, and landed in an open area, Hebrew-language Israeli media reported.

No injuries were reported.

This is the first time since November that a missile is fired from Gaza towards Israel.

In response to the missile, Israel carried out an airstrike targeting a Hamas site in eastern Deir al-Balah City in the central Gaza Strip; no injuries were reported.
