Palestinians cross Israeli border fence in southern Gaza

Jan. 24, 2019 1:46 P.M. (Updated: Jan. 25, 2019 1:04 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Several Palestinians reportedly approached the Israeli border fence in the southern besieged Gaza Strip, on Wednesday evening.

The Israeli army said that a group of Palestinians approached and damaged parts of the border fence.

Two Palestinians were reported to have crossed the border fence before returning to Gaza shortly after.

Israeli forces regularly detain Palestinians attempting to cross into Israel from the besieged Gaza Strip, which has suffered under a nearly 12-year-long military blockade by Israel.
