Israeli suppression forces raid section 4 of Rimon prison

Jan. 28, 2019 3:41 P.M. (Updated: Jan. 30, 2019 12:38 P.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli suppression forces raided section 4 of the Israeli Rimon prison, searched and damaged belongings of Palestinian prisoners, on Monday.

The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said that Israeli suppression forces of the Israeli Prison Services (IPS) also transferred prisoners into another section of the prison.

IPS reportedly transferred all Palestinian prisoners in section 4 (120 prisoners) to section 1.

Israeli suppression forces have regularly used overnight raids, confiscation of personal belongings and forcible prison transfers to suppress resistance among Palestinian prisoners.

A small fraction of Palestinians detained by Israel are held inside the occupied West Bank territory, while the vast majority are transferred to prisons inside Israel, limiting their access to their families, legal support, and communities, and also stripping detainees of their basic rights under the Fourth Geneva Convention
