Israeli forces detain 8 Palestinians across West Bank

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least eight Palestinians, on predawn Thursday, during raids in the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained one Palestinian in the southern West Bank district of Hebron. He was identified as Jihad Muhammad al-Alami.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, four Palestinians were detained. PPS identified them as Ahmad Muhammad Salah, 24, Muhammad Khader Mousa, 27, Zayn Muhammad Issa, 21, and Yousef Taysir Issa, 22.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Adam al-Shaafei, 22.

In the northern West Bank district of Salfit, another Palestinian was detained. PPS identified him as Amjad Muhammad Salah.

In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, PPS confirmed that Israeli forces detained one Palestinian. He was identified as Fayez Samed Abu Safira, 21.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,500 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
