BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- An incendiary balloon, fired by Palestinians from Gaza, landed near the Eshkol Regional Council in southern Israel, on Saturday afternoon.

Hebrew-language news outlets reported that Israeli police and explosives experts immediately arrived at the scene and removed the balloon from the area.

No injuries nor damages were reported in Eshkol.

It is noteworthy that Palestinians in Gaza view the incendiary kites as a form of protest against Israel's nearly 12-year blockade of Gaza and for Palestinian refugees right of return to their homes and lands which are now known as Israel.
