Israel releases 3 Gazan fishermen, 1 remains in custody

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities released three Palestinian fishermen from detention, on Friday, through the Erez (Beit Hanoun) crossing between Israel and the northern besieged Gaza Strip.

According to local sources, the released fishermen, Muhammad Said al-Saidi, Haitham and Awni Tareq Bakr, were detained on Thursday along with another fisherman, Khader Marwan al-Saidi, after the Israeli navy attacked them while sailing south of Gaza.

Haitham and Awni Bakr were injured with rubber-coated bullets fired by Israeli naval forces during the attack.

Ther medical condition was described as stable.

Sources added that the fourth fisherman is still held by Israeli authorities.
