Israeli forces detain 7 Palestinians in West Bank

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained seven Palestinians, including former prisoners, throughout the occupied West Bank on predawn Monday.

According to Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained one Palestinian in the southern West Bank district of Hebron. He was identified as Raed Abed al-Fattah al-Jaabari, 41.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Ihab Abdullah Taqatqa, 18.

In the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, a former Palestinian prisoner was detained and identified as a Abed al-Rahman Mahmoud.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, Israeli forces detained three Palestinians. PPS identified them as two former prisoners Khader Adnan and Tareq Qaadan, in addition to Ahmad Mustafa Melhem.

In the northern West Bank district of Salfit, PPS said one Palestinian was detained and identified as Adi Radwan Ayyash.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,450 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
