BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The European Union (EU) and a number of EU member states, organized a campus tour across three Palestinian universities, which are Palestine Polytechnic, Birzeit University, and An Najah National University within the #EU4YOUth initiative implemented across the region.

The #EU4YOUth #initiative fosters higher education opportunities for Palestinian university students, and emphasizes the major role of the EU in harnessing the potential of future Palestinian opinion leaders through various EU-funded projects and programs.

The lively #EU4YOUth Campus Tour travelled through the three universities and unpacked informational booths on their grounds to provide young people with guidance on scholarship, fellowship, and exchange programs opportunities conveyed by representatives from the EU and EU Member States.

The event concluded with a networking session powered by Erasmus , the educational arm of the EU, sharing the various studying experiences from the EU Representative, Head of University, and Palestinian Erasmus alumni.

An Erasmus alumnus from the University of Barcelona, Nataly Hinn added, "Erasmus allowed me, a Palestinian woman from an occupied country, to become who I have always dreamt of being: A success story from Palestine."

The EU Representative Ralph Tarraf shared his experience as a student with over 150 students at An Najah National University in Nablus. During his remarks, Tarraf said, "The programs and opportunities offered by the EU to Palestinian students represent the EU's unwavering support to the potential change makers, thought leaders, and peace advocates, qualities found in young Palestinians. The EU and Member States join forces in this campus tour to further extend the bridges of cooperation between people and across generations."

Following the discussions, three winners from each university were selected after posting their Biggest Selfie with the hash tag EU4YOUth.
