NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained two Palestinians, on Tuesday afternoon, at the Huwwara checkpoint, south of the northern occupied West Bank.

Local security sources told Ma’an that Israeli forces ordered a Palestinian-owned vehicle with two passengers to pull over at the Huwwara checkpoint.

Israeli forces detained the two Palestinians, who were identified as Wajih Samih Safdi, 68, and Najah Abdullah Shihade, 63, and took them into interrogation at the checkpoint.

The two Palestinians are residents from the Urif village, in the Nablus district.

The reason for the detention remained unknown.
