Israel to demolish family home of Palestinian prisoner

March 6, 2019 12:00 P.M. (Updated: March 6, 2019 4:17 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces raided the family home of Palestinian prisoner Arafat Irfaiya, accused of killing an Israeli settler, on Wednesday morning, and delivered the family a demolish order for their home in the southern occupied West Bank city of Hebron.

The family was allowed time to appeal the order.

Israeli forces had previously took measurements of Irfaiya's family home in preparation for demolition.

Last month, Israeli forces detained Irfaiya on suspicions of killing Israeli settler Ori Ansbacher, who was found dead in a forest between the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo and the al-Walaja village in the occupied West Bank.

According to Hebrew-language media, Irfaiya confessed to killing and raping the Israeli settler.
