Israeli forces detain 6 Palestinians in West Bank raids

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least six Palestinians during predawn raids in the occupied West Bank, on Wednesday.

According to Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS), two Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces in the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem. They were identified as Muhammad Adel Asakra and Laith al-Masri.

In the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Muhannad Edreis, who is an Al-Aqsa Mosque compound guard in the Old City.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, another Palestinian was detained. PPS identified him as Nader Amer Abu Adi.

In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Said Sharida.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, PPS said another Palestinian was detained. He was identified as Muhammad Subhi Jabarin.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,440 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
