Explosive balloon lands in Negev area

NEGEV (Ma'an) -- A balloon carrying an anti-tank shell landed in the Sdot Negev Regional Council area, one of the Israeli communities surrounding the besieged Gaza Strip, on Saturday.

According to Hebrew-language news outlets, an Israeli police spokesperson confirmed that the suspicious balloon was launched by Palestinians from Gaza and that it was carrying an anti-tank shell.

Sources mentioned that Israeli police and explosives experts immediately arrived at the scene and dealt with the object.

No injuries nor damages were reported.
