Gantz calls for Israel to 'act aggressively' after Gaza missiles

March 15, 2019 12:34 P.M. (Updated: March 17, 2019 6:26 P.M.)
TEL AVIV (Ma'an) -- Benny Gantz, head of Kachol Lavan political party, called on overnight Thursday for Israel “to act aggressively against violations of our sovereignty and against an attack on the security of the state of Israel.”

Benny Gantz’s remark came after a number of missiles were fired from the besieged Gaza Strip towards southern and central Israel.

Israel’s Iron Dome aerial defense system was activated as a result of the launched missiles and intercepted most of them.

Following missiles fired at Israel, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes targeting 100 sites across Gaza and injuring four Palestinians.
