Palestinian detained after crossing Gaza border fence

March 15, 2019 2:22 P.M. (Updated: March 15, 2019 2:42 P.M.)
GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained a Palestinian, on Thursday evening, who crossed the Israeli border fence in the southern besieged Gaza Strip.

Hebrew-language news outlets reported that the detained Palestinian allegedly had a knife in his possession.

The detainee was transferred for interrogation.

Five Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces on predawn Thursday after they were caught crossing the border fence into Israel from the southern Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces regularly detain Palestinians attempting to cross into Israel from the Gaza Strip, which has suffered under a nearly 12-year-long military blockade by Israel.
