Israeli settlers attack Palestinian homes in Hebron

March 23, 2019 12:25 P.M. (Updated: March 24, 2019 1:50 P.M.)
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Armed Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes in the southern occupied West Bank city o Hebron, late Friday, under armed security by Israeli forces.

Locals reported that Israeli settlers from the nearby illegal Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba threw rocks at Palestinian homes and vehicles in the Wadi al-Hasim area of the city.

Earlier during March, Israeli forces had sealed off the Wadi al-Hasin area, east of the Ibrahimi Mosque.
Some 800 notoriously aggressive Israeli settlers now live under the protection of the Israeli military in the Old City of Hebron, surrounded by more than 30,000 Palestinians.

Palestinian residents of the Old City face a large Israeli military presence on a daily basis, with at least 20 checkpoints set up at the entrances of many streets, as well as the entrance of the Ibrahimi Mosque itself.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers move freely on the street, drive cars, and carry machine guns.
