Israel releases 2 Palestinian minors after hours of interrogation

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- The Israeli police released two minor Palestinian brothers, late Thursday, after holding and interrogating them for several hours and the Salah al-Din police station in occupied Jerusalem City.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan reported that the Israeli police detained two minor Palestinian brothers from Silwan, on Thursday.

The brothers were identified as Ahmad, 12, and Jumaa Odeh, 13.

The Israeli police released Odeh brothers several hours later.

Additionally, the Israeli police banned an Al-Aqsa Mosque guard from entering the mosque for two weeks.

Meanwhile, the detention of a Palestinian identified as Majdi Abu Ghazaleh was extended for an additional day, on Thursday.

According to prisoners' rights group Addameer, there are currently 5440 Palestinians imprisoned in Israeli prisons, including 209 children, 46 of whom are under the age of 16 years.
