RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Saeb Erekat, Secretary General of the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee, strongly condemned the Israeli aggression across the besieged Gaza Strip, during which seven Palestinians, including a 14-month-old toddler along with her pregnant mother, were killed.

Abbas said in a statement, "The silence towards Israel's crimes and violations of international law encourages it to continue committing more crimes against our Palestinian people."

Erekat also condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which claimed the lives of seven Palestinians, saying “Five Palestinians, including Saba Abu Arar, 14 months old, were killed by the Israeli occupying power.”

He stressed, “We hold the Israeli government fully responsible for this aggression and call upon Egypt, the United Nations, and others in the international community to continue exerting every possible effort to restore calm.”
