GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A 24-year-old Palestinian who was shot and killed by Israeli forces during weekly Friday protests along the eastern borders of the besieged Gaza Strip, was laid to rest in Rafah, in southern Gaza, on Saturday.
Thousands of mourners carried Abdullah Abed al-Al's body on their shoulders from his home to the local mosque before burials at the city's cemetery.

Mourners waved the Palestinian flag while repeating slogans condemning Israeli crimes against Palestinians.
Abdullah Abed al-Al, 24, was shot dead with Israeli live ammunition, while 30 others, including four children and a paramedic, were injured during "The Great March of Return" protests.

Medical sources confirmed that Abed al-Al sustained a fatal gunshot injury in his pelvis.
